Marvel C. Rievert

Marvel C. Rievert, age 74, of Sebewaing, passed away April 1, 2016, at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro.

Marvel was born in Pigeon, June 6, 1941, to the late Wesley and Eliza Crouch (Kain). She married Ken Rievert on December 26, 1961, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casino, playing cards, watching the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Marvel is survived by her children: Beth (Kevin) Gainforth, Lisa (Darwin) Blaha, Steve (Deborah) Rievert, and Matthew Rievert; grandchildren: Kayla (Andrew) Maurer & Ethan (friend Brittney McGathy) Gainforth, Jared, Keegan, & Kendra Blaha, & Brendan & Alexis Rievert; sisters: Beaulah Kretzschmer and Virginia Roeber.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ken, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

Memorial gathering will take place Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 1-8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

A memorial service will take place Friday, April 8, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial of her cremains will take place immediately after the service at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
