Marvin George Ewen, 79, of Port Austin, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare Harrison in Saginaw.

Marvin was born in Warren on September 24, 1938 to the late Marvin and Viola (Wright) Ewen.  He graduated from Centerline High School and served in the US Marine Corps.  He retired from the City of Warren Fire Department as Chief.  He was a member of the Caseville Eagles and a bowler at Biff’s.  He enjoyed his family, hunting and sports.

He is survived by his daughters Kimberly (Jay) Gettel of Brighton, Vicky Hooker of Florida and Morgan (Andrew) Hohman of Ohio; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister Joan Alexander of Centerline and brother-in-law Gene (Chris) Rice of Warren.  He was preceded by his wife Betty Katherine Gartner, sister Carol Rice and great-grandson Alexander.

A memorial luncheon will be 1:00pm Saturday, March 10 th at the Caseville Eagles Club.  Urn interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
