Mary Anderson

Mary Anderson, age 72 years, of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at St. Marys of Michigan, Saginaw. She was born on December 13, 1934 at Loudon, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Clifford and Tressie Mae (Gaylon) Barger. The former Mary Barger married David Willie Anderson in Florida and he preceded her in death. Pat moved to Caro from Florida approximately thirty years ago. She was employed as a personal caregiver throughout her working life. Pat enjoyed her family and loved to bake, read and sew. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Putnam of Sandusky and Carol (Rudy) Olivarez of Caro; five grandchildren, Charles Kirkland (Angie Cardamoni) of Sandusky, Sonja Kay (Ray) Amon of Sandusky, Patricia Mae (Ben) Taylor of Cass City, Joanne (Jim) Lane of Caro and Joshua L. Olivarez of Caro; eleven great-grandchildren, Damon, Levi, Jasmine, Sydney, Dustin, Tristian, Makayla, Ian, Benjamin, Xavier and Harley; two sisters and one brother, Shirley Itson of Florida, Joan Johnson of Florida and Bobby Jo (Barbara) Barger of Dowagiac; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, little Creedy Johnson; a grandson, Waylon Olivarez; two brothers, Billy and Jimmy Barger; and one son-in-law, Bob Putnam. Funeral services will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry VanSlambrook officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Mary Anderson family discretionary fund, c/o Carol Olivarez.
