Mary Ann Bacca

Mary Ann Bacca, age 50, of Bay Port, passed away October 18, 2018, at United Hospice of Marlette Regional Hospice.

Mary was born on January 22, 1968, in Pigeon, to Robert and Mary Deming. She married Richard Bacca on December 24, 1987. She worked as the head cook at the Bay Port Inn for 25 years. She loved her family and friends passionately and feeding everyone she could. She also enjoyed helping Rich work on his Harley, cross stitching, making things with her hands, taking pictures of the family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Cristina (Kris Clink) Bacca of Caseville and Sara (Michael) Whittredge of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Alexis (Anthony) Johnson, Buzz Bacca, Chance and Dalton Shippey, Dustin and Trystand Thompson, and; 3 great grandchildren; and siblings: Alice (Rodney) House, John (Karen) Deming, and Joe Deming; and niece, Kay Kay Cummings-Deming.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Deming; son, James Bacca; and brother, Tommy Deming.

The visitation and service will all take place on Monday, October 22, 2018, at the Bay Port United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at the church at 2pm until the time of service at 4pm.

Burial will be at the New Bay Port Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
