Mary M. Buss, 79, of Caseville passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at McLaren Hospital in Flint.
Mary was born July 10, 1943 in Mt. Carmel, Newfoundland, Canada. She graduated in 1963 from East Detroit High School. She worked as a bartender for 30 years and provided care to patients in group homes. Locally she worked as the hostess at Riverside Bar in Caseville. She was a life-member of the Red Wing Motorcycle Club and the Caseville Eagles Auxiliary. In 2001 she moved from Roseville to Caseville. She enjoyed reading, gambling, watching Dr. Pol because of her love of animals and playing BINGO.
Mary is survived by her husband Roger; son John (Chris) Francilo of Columbiaville; step-daughters Karen Contway, Cheryl (Jim) Jurkewicz and Dawn Magyar; grandchildren Jonathan Francilo, McKayla Carter, Derek Banka, Kala Woody, Joshua Ashlock, Justin Ashlock, and Jordan Magyar; 6 great-grandchildren; and siblings Cindy Delpier, Elaine (Mike) Osborne, Roger (Linda) Nelson and Harold Nelson. She was preceded in death by her brothers Andrew Nelson and Philip Fowler.
A memorial service will be 3:00pm Thursday, February 9th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
