Mary Chiotti

Mary Chiotti age 96, of Elkton died Thursday evening, May 1, at the home of her nephew near Port Austin.
She was born January 1, 1912 in Hungary to the late Michael and Julia (Kinces) Miklos and migrated to Detroit in her youth. On July 31, 1937 she was united in marriage to Russell Chiotti in Detroit. She and Russell moved to the farm five miles north of Elkton in 1945, where they farmed until retiring in 1978. Russell preceded her in death April 28, 1978.
Mary was a long time member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Surviving are three grandchildren, William, Daniel and David; seven great grandchildren, Russell, Misty, Jason, Shawn, Shannon, Mari and Robyn and many great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Agnes Marie Farver in 2000; a grandson Russell in 1998; six brothers and a sister.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, May 5, at St. Felix Catholic Cemetery.
