Mary Lee Downing

Mary Lee Downing of Caro, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was born October 14, 1929 in Caro, the daughter of the late Lee and Florence (Boulton) Huston. Mary Lee was united in marriage with Paul Downing on May 3, 1947 in Caro. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1988. Mary Lee loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed Bingo, casino trips, shopping and “anything chocolate.” Mary Lee is survived by her three children, Michael & Margie Downing of San Diego, California, Tamara & Fred Kapa of Caro, and Lori Phillips of Caro; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; many special brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mary Lees wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
