Mary Christine Essler

Mary C. Essler, age 99, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro.

Mary was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 12, 1914 to the late Jacob and Marie (Adams) Prinz. In 1932 she married Nicholas Essler at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Sebewaing. He passed away August 3, 1983. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and was a member of the Alter Society. Mary enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her children: Robert (Jeanette) Essler of Flint Twp., MI, Eleanor (Jerry) Chartrand of Dawsonville, GA, Marilyn Thede (friend Lou LaPrairie) of Sebewaing, MI, John (Jeannine) Essler of Unionville, MI, Diane Gaeth of Sebwaing, MI and Donna Arnoldy of Sebewaing, MI; brother, Joseph Prinz of Eugene, OR; grandchildren: Celeste (Michael) Windham, Dawn Southern, Troy (Dani) Nitz, Terry (Patrice) Thede, Chad (Renee) Gaeth, Joshua (friend Shanna Gaeth) and David Bader; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation is Monday, December 2, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm with a 7pm scripture service.

The funeral is Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Sebewaing.
