Mary Giddings

Mary Elizabeth Giddings, age 48 years, of Millington passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Caro Community Hospital. She was born on July 17, 1960 in Cass City to Rosella (Hercliff) Giddings and the late Alfred Giddings. Mary was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County and a Mayville High School graduate. She was employed in retail sales as a clerk. Mary collected roosters, snowmen, and Winnie the Pooh, but she really loved to play Bingo. She is survived by her son, Jermey John Maguire, at home; her mother, Rosella Giddings of Mayville; her siblings, Susan (Timothy) Klinesmith of Mayville, her twin sister, Margaret (Dale) Marshall of Marlette, Janet (James) Maguire of Caro, Mark (Lisa) Giddings of Mayville and Karen (Marcus) Cole of Washington; her lifetime companion, Kenneth George Maguire of Millington; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her cat, Starr. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Giddings. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. with Mary Edgington officiating. Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Mary Giddings family discretionary fund, c/o Janet (Giddings) Maguire.
