Mary Jo Hendershot, age 54, of Paw Paw, formerly from Gagetown, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 due to injuries incurred in a motorcycle accident. Mary Jo was born September 2, 1959 in Cass City, MI, to Merton & Ruth Ann (MacAlpine) Hendershot.
Mary Jo worked as a Registered Vascular Technician. She enjoyed watching football, especially MSU and the Pittsburg Steelers. She loved to ride Harley Davison motorcycles, being outdoors, cooking and baking. She was a member of Women of the Moose – Chapter 367 out of Bay City, and was a member of the ABATE. Mary Jo also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandbabies.
She is survived by her children: Becki (Mike) Leskowich and Jamie Neu; her parents: Mert and Ruth Ann Hendershot; her siblings: LuAnn (Ken) Roemer, Jim (Sara) Hendershot and Cristy (Brian) Schulz; grandbabies: Morgan and Madison Leskowich; nieces and nephews: Amy (Ryan) Lowman, Kevin (Kristen) Roemer, Kayla Roemer, Maegan Hendershot, Jordan Hendershot, Carissa Schulz and Zach Schulz; great nephews: Connor and Drew Lowman; special friend, Kevin Rocheleau; and many loving friends and extended family.
Memorial visitation will take place Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral home in Sebewaing from 1-8pm.
The memorial service will be Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing at 11am.
Burial of her cremains will take place at a later date at Grant Twp. Cemetery in Gagetown.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Women of the Moose, Chapter 367, 2573 N. Euclid Ave., Bay City, MI 48706.
