Mary Anna Hughes

Mary Anna Hughes of Caro, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab in Mayville. Mary was born April 18, 1943 in Brighton, the daughter of the late Vernon and Altie (Garner) Hughes. She worked in child care, and attended the Caro First Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed mowing the lawn and other yard work, and being part of nature. She is survived by one brother, Robert Hughes of Caro; and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Ronald Wigand officiating. Burial will follow at Wahjamega Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro First Baptist Church.
