Mary Catherine (Riley) Jones of Caro, age 61, was welcomed into heaven by God and her family who had gone before her on Monday, February 10, 2025. Mary was born June 1, 1963 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Robert and Marilyn (Bunker) Riley. She grew up in Vassar and graduated from Vassar High School in 1982. In 1985, she met the love of her life, Brian Jones, and they married the following year, building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they were blessed with three children: Robert, Amanda-Marilyn, and MaKenzie. Mary’s heart was always full, especially when it came to her family. She adored her grandchildren and found pure joy in every moment spent with them. Mary loved angels and Christmas and always made the holidays feel magical. She had a gift for bringing people together, whether it was hosting family gatherings, festive parties, or cozy bonfires that stretched late into the night.
Left to cherish Mary’s memory is her husband, Brian Jones; children, Robert Jones, Amanda-Marilyn (Jeffery) Jones and MaKenzie (Kelli) Jones; grandchildren, KaeLeann and Zaedin, Reagan and Isaiah, and Bobbi and Triston; great-grandchildren, Zhander, Deklan, Olivia, and Delainie; four brothers and their families, Pat Riley, Tim Riley, Mike & Dawn Riley and their children, Travis, Alexis, Mikah, and Maverick, and Rob & Jeanne Riley and their children, Elizabeth, Tyler, Reegan, and Kaitlin; one sister, Terri Szabcsan and her daughter, Diane, and her “adopted boys”, Gavino Reynero, Jack Martin, Zach & Brooke Rocheleau and their daughter, Remi, Cris Reynero, and Corey Zapfe; as well as many other cherished relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard & Lorraine Bunker and Emmett & Lola Riley; two grandsons, Kevin and Jeffry; and Brian’s parents, Robert & Alberta Jones.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Time of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
