Mary Ann Kiser, 89, of Caseville, died early morning Friday, November 12, 2021 peacefully at home.
Mary Ann was born in Detroit on January 31, 1932 at home to the late Joseph and Helen (Ruszczyk) Landoski.
She attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in Detroit and graduated from Commerce High School in Detroit in 1950.
Mary Ann worked as an Executive Secretary at the Chrysler Tank Plant in Warren in the 1950’s. She married Billy Tom Kiser at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Detroit on January 22, 1955.
Together they lived and raised their family in Clawson.
In 1980 they retired and moved to Caseville where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Mary Ann was an accomplished porcelain artist and traveled to study with noted artist here in the in the United States and also in Europe. She promoted the art at events throughout the Midwest and was a member of the Berkley China Painting Chapter. She produced many fine pieces of art from her Caseville studio where she also taught painting classes and enjoyed the time with her students immensely.
She is a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. And also a member of the Caseville Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
Mary Ann is survived by three children: Margaret Vortriede, William Kiser and his wife Elizabeth and Marilyn Kiser. She has three grandchildren: Neil Cooper, Phillip Kiser and Andrea Vortriede; she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Billy Kiser on March 17, 2021.
She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and a good friend to many.
Graveside services will be at noon on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Roch Catholic Cemetery in Caseville with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
