Mary Lee Garbacz

Mary Lee Garbacz “Nana” of Caro, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at her home. She was born August 6, 1954 in Caro, the daughter of the late Arnold and Beverly (Goodall) Langmaid. A woman of deep faith, Mary Lee was a devoted member of the Caro Church of the Nazarene, where her kind and caring spirit shone brightly. Mary Lee found joy in life’s simple pleasures: she loved her trips to the casino, listening to Elvis, and was an avid fan of professional wrestling. She also cherished peaceful walks, watching cardinals, and most of all, showering her grandchildren with love and affection. Her family remembers her as a loving mother, doting grandma, and special great grandma, whose warmth will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary Lee leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jody Garbacz (Tom Burnham), Linda (Cory) MacClemmons, and Marc (Jeanine) Langmaid: grandchildren, Ricki (Craig) Gorkowski, Samantha Garbacz (Michael Frazee), Nolan (Becca) Wilcox, Brittani Wilcox, Kaden MacClemmons, Addison MacClemmons, Melanie Godwin, Zachary Langmaid, and Daniel Langmaid; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Audry Gorkowski, Grayson, Chandler, and Eli; siblings, Fred Langmaid, Cheryl Anderson, Barbara Langmaid, and Jennifer (Leland) Smith; the father of her daughters, Joseph Garbacz; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mary Lee’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 21, 2024 at the Caro Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Paul McNett officiating. The family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
