Mary Margaret Hall

The Lord called home our beloved Mary Margaret Hall on Saturday, March 22, 2025, after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. True to her nature, she faced it with fierce determination, declaring, “Let’s get this done, I have things to do!”

Born on December 13, 1946, in Caro, Mary was the fifth of seven children blessed to the late Floy Hazen and Theresa (Slimko) Quick. She grew up in Caro, graduating from high school before beginning a career in medical billing. She dedicated many years to the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, where she worked until her well-earned retirement.

She was affectionately known as "Mama Midge" to her kids and grandkids, and “Midge” to her friends. A longtime bowler, Mary had a deep love for the game and enjoyed it throughout her life. Nothing compared, however, to the love she had for her family and her faithful dogs, Chewie, Abby, and Bitsie, who were always by her side.

Left to cherish Mary’s memory are her husband, Dale Hall; children, Lori Hall Nugent, Kristie Hall Hopkin, and Angela Hall; grandchildren, Hazen, Finn, Reilly, Culum, Alex, Emily (Shaw), Greg (Nicole), and Makenna (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Ransom, and one more on the way; and brother, Allen Quick. She goes to the Kingdom of Heaven to join her parents, Theresa & Hazen Quick; sisters, Eileen Ives, Ruth Ann Karakas, Susan Quick, and Jane Quick; brother, Tom Quick; and nephews, Tony Quick and Jamie Karakas.

A Celebration of Life will held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro. Mary’s family will be present to receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon at the Caro Fire Hall will follow the service. A committal service will take place at a later date.
