Mary Jane Sanderson, age 69, of Caseville passed away peacefully at home with her family on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

She was born July 31, 1949 in Knoxville, TN and moved to Detroit as a small child with her family. Mary was a proud 1968 graduate of Cass Technical High School studying art. She graduated from Macomb Community College majoring in Art. She loved working at Corvettes Department Store as a window designer. She also loved working as a Graphic / Commercial Artist at Living in Fraser newspaper, The Detroit News, Suburban Lifestyles of Rochester and The Oakland Press, which she retired from in 2014. She enjoyed all aspects of art and exploring them. She also spent many hours sewing and reading.

She is survived by her daughters Natalie Bedford of Phoenix and Nicole Collins and her son-in-law Steven Kanyak of Caseville; her three beloved grandchildren Hope, Hunter and Takoda; two sisters Brenda (Richard) Miller of Rochester Hills and Carol (Richard) Stoody of Williamsburg; numerous nieces and nephews; the Kanyak Family; Margaret (Leo) Lafler and Karl Hillerman. She was preceded in death by her parents James Fredrick and Iva Jean Sanderson, as well as son in law Robert Bedford.
