Mary Southworth

Mary Jane Southworth, age 64 years, of Caro, died in the loving care of her family and Hospice care providers at her residence on Wednesday, August 2, 2006. The former Mary Jane Hitchings was born on May 22, 1942 in Caro to Rita (Campbell) Hitchings and the late Glen E. Hitchings. She was a Caro High School graduate, and on February 9, 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, Bert Jr. Southworth. Mary Jane enjoyed crafting, knitting and working in her yard. She is survived by her husband, Bert Jr. Southworth; her children, Marc Southworth of Essexville, Janell (John) Merz of Caro, Jackie (Jeff) LaPratt of Caro and Brett Southworth of Vassar; grand-children, Jesse Southworth, Jacob LaPratt, Dustin Southworth and Ronnie Osborne, Kelsey and Ashley Merz; her mother, Rita Hitchings; her brothers and sisters, Penny and Lloyd Haney of San Diego, California, Marita Miklovic of Caro, Glenna and Calvin Macy of Shreveport, Louisiana, William
