Matt Dennis

Matt Dennis of Silverwood, age 56, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. Matt was born March 18, 1965 in Cass City, the son of the late Robert D. Dennis & Lois Ann (Davy) Smith. He grew up in Caro and graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1983. Shortly after, Matt took a position with the Tuscola County Advertiser in Caro as a typesetter. He was currently employed as a tool crib operator at CIE Newcor in Clifford, a position he held for over twenty-five years. Foremost in Matt's life were his two daughters who will miss his patient and gentle heart. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter, and dancer. Matt enjoyed riding his motorcycle and minibike, and spending time with family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Destiny Rose Dennis and Alexis Renee Dennis; four siblings, Linda Dennis (Ed) of Flint, Troy Dennis (Beth) of Caro, Brenda Racine of Deford, Kathleen Emily Patricia Urmos (Joseph) of Vassar; step-father, Ormond Smith of Cass City; his partner, Selina Moore of Caro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Matt was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Fred Racine. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
