Maureen Rasmussen

Maureen J. Rasmussen, age 87, of Sebewaing, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, in the comfort of her own home.

Maureen was born on April 16, 1930, to Frederick and Anna (Christensen) Graves. She married Kenneth Rasmussen on June 17, 1949. They co-owned Rasmussen Transport, Inc. where she took care of all the bookkeeping. Maureen loved playing bingo and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children: Denise (David) Arndt of Saginaw, Brenda (Don) Hofmeister of Sebewaing, Dennis (Debbie) Rasmussen of Cass City, David (Dinah) Rasmussen of Elkton, Nancy (Benjamin) Arnst of Spring, TX, Janette Nitz of Sebewaing, and Curt (Bethanne Bowles) Rasmussen of Cass City; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Rasmussen; and many nieces and nephews.

Maureen in preceded in death by her parents; son, Dean Rasmussen; siblings: Lois Dvonch, Tena Sheldon, Wesley Graves, Don Graves, Sr. and James Graves.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-8pm.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be private at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.
