Maurice Dwyer

Maurice A. Dwyer, age 73, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at St. Marys of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw, following a lingering illness. Maurice was born November 2, 1934 in Caro, the son of the late Maurice A. & Angela (Koerth) Dwyer and was a lifelong area resident. He was united in marriage to the former Nancy Spiekerman on May 2, 1969 in Caro. Maurice was first employed as a machinist with Hydramet and later with Michigan Sugar, retiring in 1996. During the summer months, he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and selling sweet corn from a stand in front of his home. Maurice is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Nancy C. Dwyer of Caro; one son, Scott Dwyer of Deford; two sisters, Helen Weis of Caro, Stella Rushlo of Sebring, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
