Mavis J. Pechette

Mavis J. Pechette, 86, of Caseville, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Mavis was born April 23, 1934 in Caro to the late Luther and Beatrice (Putnam) Berry. She graduated from Caro High School and then from Western Michigan University with a degree in Education. She married Louis Francis “Frank” Pechette in 1959; he preceded her in death in 1984.

Mavis taught school in Bad Axe and Caseville and coached girls basketball. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and Scenic Golf Course.

Mavis is survived by her sons Leo of Illinois and Robert of Bad Axe; daughter-in-law Annette of Caseville; grandsons Glenn and Cody and great-grandson Jackson. She was preceded in death by her son Louis and siblings Paul, Clara and Max.

A funeral mass will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 31st at St. Roch Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Pare presiding.  Burial will be in St. Felix Cemetery in Pinnebog.  Visitation will be 4-7 Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.
