Maxine C. Lentz, 80, of Sebewaing, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Maxine was born November 22, 1941 in Plattsburgh, New York to the late Oren and Mildred (Moore) Henry. She married Bobby Lentz on July 28, 1962 in Dannemora, New York. She graduated from Mildred Elley College in Albany, New York and retired from the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. She was a member of Bay Port United Methodist Church and was active in United Methodist Women and the UMW knitting group. She enjoyed knitting, cross stitch, traveling, reading, camping and spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Bob; son Douglas (Angela) and their children Isaac, Nora, Olivia and Xavier of Brighton; daughter Julie (John Wichlacz) and her children Kendra, Raegan and Lawson Barker of Fenton; brother Elmon (Kathryn) Henry of Suwanee, Georgia; sister Joyce Boothe of Duluth, Georgia; brother-in-law Derrell (Donna) Lentz of Camden, Arkansas; special uncle Harold (Gail) Henry of Alexander City, Alabama; special aunt Carolyn Platt of Bradenton, Florida as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Bay Port United Methodist Church with Rev. Heather Nowak officiating. Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-7 Sunday at Champagne Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Bay Port United Methodist Church.
