Maxine J. Winter

Maxine J. Winter, age 77, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro.

Maxine was born July 13, 1939, in Bay City, to the late Friedrich and Myrtle (Strauch) Wissner. She is a graduate of Owendale High School. Maxine married Vern D. Winter on October 17, 1964. She enjoyed attending the local Relay for Life events, watching cardinals, going for walks, spending time outside, visiting with everyone in town, and spending time with the joys of her life, her two granddaughters.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Vern; children: Jo (Bill) Learman of Caro, Troy Winter of Sebewaing and Todd (Amy) Winter of Saukville, WI; granddaughters: Becky and Allison Learman; granddog, Jake; siblings: Arlene Ross, Nina Alexander, Gerald "Red" Wissner and Patty Sontag; and many nieces and nephews.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Myrtle Wissner; siblings: Esther Cochrane, Vernita McPhail, Milda Polley, Owen Wissner, Aldine Voss, Donald Wissner, Glen Wissner and Ken Wissner.

Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Saturday, August 13, 2016, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unioniville. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Relay for Life.
