Maynard C. Carter, 83, of Caseville, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.
Maynard was born July 2, 1934 in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan, Canada to the late James E. and Margaret (Rowland) Carter. He immigrated to the USA when he was a child. He served in the US Army. He married Letisha M. Gray on November 24, 1960 in Berkely.
He worked as a builder, window installer and manufacturer of pre-cast concrete. He enjoyed grilling, all things Western and having coffee at many of the local restaurants.
He is survived by his wife Letisha; children William (Jennie) Harman of Traverse City, James M. (Pamela) Carter of Bad Axe, Robin (Scott) Fujimoto of Dayton, Ohio and Cheyenne Carter of Caseville; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and brother Leonard Carter of Pigeon. He was preceded in death by his grandson Timothy Harmon; brothers Byron and Donald, nieces Sherry Carter and nephew Bobby Carter.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Tuesday, June 26 th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00am Tuesday and go until the time of the service.
