Melody Kaye Abbe

Melody Kaye Abbe, 62, of Bay Port, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City.

Melody was born October 19, 1959 in Cass City to the late Daniel and Rose (Rinnert) Abbe. In 1977 she graduated from Laker High School. She married David Deming on November 1, 1980 in Elkton; he preceded her in death on March 27, 2018. She was an artist who enjoyed painting and music. She loved beautiful things. She took in strays of all kinds, human and animal, and took care of them. Melody was vibrant and full of life before sickness took those things from her.

Melody is survived by her children Candice (Will) Cain of Suffolk, VA and Jeramy (Melissa) Deming of Port Austin; grandchildren Kaylee, Alexander, Lance and Tristan; siblings Elaine (Rich) Krzeszewski of Bay City, Daniel (Cheryl) Abbe of Owendale, and Esther (Arnold) Fritz of Owendale; life-long friend Jason (Caylee) Eisiliones of Unionville; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Champagne Funeral Chapel.
