Merry Sue Force

Merry Sue Force of Caro, age 72, went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 2, 2021 at her residence with her daughter and partner by her side. Merry was born December 29, 1948 in Caro, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Hadi) Force and was a graduate of Caro High School. Merry went on to become an LPN and enjoyed taking care of people. She was united in marriage with Larry LaPratt in 1968 and he preceded her in death. Merry enjoyed going to casinos and traveling with her partner, Mike Corkran. She was an active member of the Caro VFW Auxiliary 4164 and held the position of guard. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Darci LaPratt of Caro; her partner, Mike Corkran; one brother, Francis Force and wife, Quyless, of Florida; one sister, Elinor Moyer of Caro; four grandchildren, Jennifer Gere, Scott Gere (Sheri), Travis Gere and Steven Gere; two great-grandchildren, Xzavier Marcum and Terra Gere; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Force. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A VFW Ladies Auxiliary service will follow the visitation. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
