Michael "Mike" Frederick Bach, age 66, of Sebewaing, was called to heaven on December 25, 2025.
Mike was born in Garland, Texas on December 13, 1959, to Donald and Anna Marie (Prieninger) Bach. He was an electrician by trade, working for Lydon Paul Electric in Garland, Texas and then for B's Electric of Sebewaing after moving to Michigan with his wife in November 1998. Mike met Jeanette Engelhardt at Peace Lutheran Church in Garland, where Mike was baptized and confirmed. They were married there on July 30, 1993.
Even though Mike lived in Michigan for more than twenty-five years, he was a "Texan at heart". Mike was kind, considerate, friendly and willing to help anyone.
Mike also loved animals. Over the years, he and Jeanette adopted many dogs and cats. One dog and three cats made the trip with them from Texas to Michigan in 1998. Whenever a beloved pet passed away, Mike made a casket for it to be buried in one of Jeanette's flower beds.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Jeanette; sisters: Donna (David) Haile and Jenifer (Mike) Wang; nieces and nephews: Michael Wang, Brian Wang, Deidre Haile and Dylan Haile; great nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Engelhardt and David (Pat) Engelhardt; and sister-in-law, Joy (Gilbert) Sprague.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, father and step mother, Verna.
Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2026 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc. in Sebewaing from 4pm-8pm.
The funeral service will be Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Pastor Thom Garrison will be officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Children's or Thumb Animal Shelter.
