Michael William Bauer

Michael William Bauer of Auburn Hills, formerly of Caro, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2023 at his home. Mike was born July 16, 1968 in Flint, the son of Gerald and Barbara (Press) Bauer. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1986 and went on to attend Central Michigan University and Delta College. Mike worked as a cost accountant at Oerlikon for many years and was a member of his condo association. He was always known for helping his neighbors and lending a hand in any project they were completing. Mike enjoyed being outdoors and tending to his yard. He loved to watch any sport on TV and was a die-hard University of Michigan fan. Mike adored house-sitting his best furry companion, Delta, and cherished time spent with his family.

Mike is survived by his father, Gerald Bauer; sisters, Terry Stoveken and Tina (Rick) Enos; and nieces and nephews, Douglas Bauer, Cole Stoveken, and Ericca Bauer. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
