Michael J. Bezemek, 75, of Caseville, died Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his home.
Mike was born December 7, 1939 in Harbor Beach to the late Jack and Rosalind (Spencer) Bezemek. He graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1958. He served in the US Navy from 1958-1967, having been stationed aboard the USS Lexington, USS Esteem and USS Hamner. He married Linda S. Cline on August 22, 1971 in Harbor Beach.
He retired from Dow AgroSciences in Harbor Beach as a process operator in 2005. He was a member of the Caseville Eagles, VFW, American Legion, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans, Backwater Yacht Club and he volunteered aboard the museum ship USS Lexington. He enjoyed woodworking, sailing, putzing and spending his winters in Rockport, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Lyn; son Dane (Beth) of Davisburg and daughter Dale (Brian) Bentley of Pigeon; grandchildren Allen, Emily, Haley, Cole, Danielle and Cathleen; and brother William (Mary) of California.
A memorial service will be at 12:00 Noon Friday at the Caseville Eagles Club, FOE #3690, followed by a luncheon. Interment will be 1:30 Monday, April 13th in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorials may be made to the Thumb Animal Shelter or Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary.
