Michael Lee Brown

Michael Lee Brown of Ubly, age 56, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Mike was born February 22, 1960 in Cass City, grew up in Snover, and has lived in the Cass City area since 1997. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 16, serving a portion of his time in Grenada as a radio operator, and was honorably discharged in 1979. He was employed as a metal fabricator and built limousines. Mike's life revolved around his family and he will be remembered for the work ethic he instilled in his children, and would often tell them how proud he was of them. A mechanical man by nature, Mike could always be found tinkering, fixing broken machines or working with metal and wood. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR and the NFL. Mike is survived by his wife, Dorothy Brown of Ubly; children, Michael & Trina Burnham of Imlay City, Brian Brown of Peck, Joanie & Justin Thompson of Snover, Albert Slinglend of Ubly, Randy Slinglend of Ubly; parents, Arnold & Helen (Morgan) Brown of Snover; grandchildren, Zoie, Kendall, Chester and Faith; siblings, Irene & Dale Stempel, Paulene & John Hagemeister, Jeff & Linda Brown, Arnold & Janice Brown; father-in-law, William H. Burnham; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
