Michael L. "Boob" Bublitz

Michael L. Bublitz, a lifelong resident of Akron, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab in Mayville at the age of 71. Mike was born March 20, 1948 in Bay City, the son of the late Leland C. & Nellie S. (Storm) Bublitz. He graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School with the class of 1967 and took a position with Snap-on Tools as a salesman and later worked for the Cooperative Elevator in Reese. Mike's passion was metal working and he utilitzed that skill with Scientific Brake in Saginaw and American Hoist in Bay City. He would later open his own metal fabrication business in Akron and retired after many years of service to the community. Mike was a naturally social person though not known to always be politically correct. He knew people everywhere he went but was also content to be alone in nature, fishing in Canada, traveling to the Upper Peninsula, gardening, and canning. Left to cherish Mike's memory are one daughter, Amy Jo Marshall of Fairgrove; granddaughter, Meagan Leigh "Termite" Marshall of Vassar; sister, Nancy Zelmer of Caro; nephew, Roger Zelmer, Jr. of Caro. In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
