Michael William Elliott, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday September 13, 2008, from complications with diabetes. Mike was born March 30, 1948 in Detroit, the son of the late Bertrand & Josephine (Frank) Elliott, coming to Caro with his parents as an infant. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1966. Mike was united in marriage with the former Evemarie Kansik on May 5, 1973 in Livonia. Mike and Eve moved to Ft. Myers, Florida in 1983, where Mike was employed as a Master Plumber, returning to Caro in 1998. Mike enjoyed his life as a loving husband and father; he loved football and played for Caro High School. In the fifteen years he lived in Florida, Mike was an official for Pop Warner Football in Fort Myers, for nine of those years. He also loved a good bike ride on his Harley Davison, walking with his precious dog, Goldie, fishing and hunting. Mike is survived by his dear wife of thirty-five years, Eve of Caro; four children and their spouses, Buffy Adame of Hubert, NC, Corleen & Adam Cooper of Ft. Myers, Melissa & Bill Murphy of Lehigh Acres, FL, Michael & Leona Elliott of Eaton Rapids; eleven grandchildren; five brothers and sisters and their spouses, Bertrand (Skip) & Laurie Elliott of Pt. Charlotte, FL, Kathleen Elliott of Muncie, IN, Maureen Elliott and special friend Michael Abernathy of Bay City, Patrick Olan Elliott of Caro, Kerry & Tim Elenbaum of Mayville; Mikes mother-in-law, Evamarie Kansik of Longwood, FL; two sisters-in-law, MaryJo Kansik of Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, Naomi & Todd Bowen of Longwood, FL and many nieces and nephews. Burial will follow in Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
