Michael J. Gross

Michael J. Gross, age 60, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at his home. He was born December 26, 1953 in Seattle, Washington to the late Clement and Dorothy (Handy) Gross.

Michael attended Laker High School as a child. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy being honorably discharged after 2 years of service. He then attended Delta College graduating with a degree in auto mechanics. He enjoyed working on cars, going to the beach and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his son, Trevor (Genevieve) Gross; grandchildren: Zachary, Brett and Megan Gross; sisters: Viola Mickelson and Elizabeth (Ken) Gruich; sister-in-law, Cathy Gross; brother-in-law, Mike Katchuba; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Clement and Dorothy Gross; brother, Robert Gross; sisters, Carmalita Katchuba, Margarite Gross and Valaria Gross.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Sebewaing American Legion Hall at 2pm.

Cremation services were handled by Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
