Michael John Kowalski

Michael John Kowalski of Caro, age 91, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Medilodge of Cass City. Mike was born September 27, 1927 in Caro, the son of the late John & Anna (Wojcik) Kowalski. He was employed for over thirty years with the Cigarette Service Company in Detroit, retiring in 1988. Mike was a member of the Polish American Club in Caro and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and driving his Cadillacs. He remained a farmer at heart his entire life, and in his younger days, enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Mike is survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Stanley Kowalski, Joseph Kowalski, Stella Niemiec and Josephine Chlipala. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
