Michael James Mccrimmon

Michael James McCrimmon, 67, of Caseville, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy after a short battle with cancer.
Michael was born October 14, 1955 in Pigeon, the eldest son of Ernest and Janet (Gillingham) McCrimmon. Michael attended Caseville Public School and graduated in 1973. After high school Michael joined the United States Air Force in 1976 where he studied electronics and became an E-5 power production specialist. In 1980 he began working at Village Castings in Caseville and became plant manager until 2012 when he went on to work at Walbro in Cass City, MI.
Michael spent most of his life in Caseville and was a proud Father, Veteran and Caseville Firefighter until he retired. Besides spending time with his family and friends he enjoyed boating out to North Island with his mother and brothers and fixing and building computers. He had a passion for family history and spent many hours researching and documenting it.
Michael is survived by his mother Janet (Gillingham) McCrimmon; his two brothers David (Peg) and Mark McCrimmon; children Holli (Daniel) Freyman, Misty McCrimmon, Michelle (Brandon) Twarog, Matthew McCrimmon, James McCrimmon, and Lindsey (Hunter) Champagne; grandchildren, River and Tanner Gast, Summer, Lance and Chloe Beringer, Grace Champagne and great-granddaughter Aurora Gast; and his girlfriend Dawn Spitler.
A celebration of life will be held December 10th from noon till 3:00pm at the Caseville Township Hall. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Mark McCrimmon. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
