Michael Mcgrath

Michael David McGrath, age 42, of Caro, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Hills & Dales General Hospital in Cass City after a battle with cancer. He was born on October 11, 1968 at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital to David and Nancy (Baranic) McGrath. Mike was a lifelong resident of Caro, having graduated from Caro High School. He spent much of his time in lawn care, and most recently working in food service as a support person at JJ Jamokes. He enjoyed working on and traveling around on his bicycle, and was fond of constructing model cars. He was a member of Catholic faith. He is survived by his mother, Nancy McGrath of Caro; his father, David (Carol) McGrath of Skandia; his sisters, Trisha Wilson of Caro and Jennifer (Michael) Samuelson of Birch Run; his two nephews, Bryden and Ridge; an aunt and uncle, Sally McGrath of Cass City and Robert McGrath of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as several cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael and Genevieve Baranic, and Harold and Helen McGrath; and the remainder of his aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. There will be no visitation held at the Collon Funeral Home.
