Michael James Muir

Michael James Muir of Caro, age 56, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at his home. Mike was born September 2, 1965 in Titusville, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Orra and Penny (Turpin) Muir. He served in the U.S. Navy from November 21, 1986 until his honorable discharge on November 3, 1995. Mike worked at Howard Bell detailing cars, was a stocker at Walmart and Save-A-Lot, and at General Cable in Cass City until it closed. He was united in marriage with the former Christine (Daniels) Ayres on March 16, 2007, and she survives. He enjoyed being outdoors during warmer weather and riding motorcycles. Mike especially loved spoiling Chris and getting together with friends and laughing. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Christine Muir of Caro; step-children, Patti Lynn (Joshua) Harris of Caro, Robin (Troy) Hawley of Caro, Sara (Lee Schutt) Ayres of Saginaw, Donald (Amanda) Easlick of Hastings, Tasia (Curt) Warren of Middlebury, Indiana; thirty-two grandchildren; one sister, Kim Chiccarelli of Pennsylvania; and one brother, Mark (Allison) Muir of North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jacob Hill. In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
