Michael George Naert

Michael G. “Mick” Naert, age 68, of Caseville, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at his home while under hospice care.

Mick was born May 22, 1940 in Detroit to Marcel and the late Lena (Trotter). He was a retired floorlayer for the Resilient Floor Decorator’s Union Local #2265, a proud member of the Caseville Eagles #3690 and St. Roch Catholic Church. He moved to Caseville in 1994 after retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially at his father's cabin in the U.P.

He is survived by his wife Alice; sons Michael P. (Carol) of Shelby Twp and David (Paula) of Macomb Twp; grandchildren Jennafer, Michael, Daniel, Katelyn and Jake; father Marcel of Caseville; and brothers William (Pam) of Detroit and Joseph (Corky) of Caseville.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Monday at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville with Fr. Kenneth Yaroch presiding. Interment will be in St. Roch Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and from 10 AM Monday until the time of the Mass at Church.

Memorials may be made to the local charity of the donor's choice.
