Michael J. Novak

Michael J. Novak of Caro, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home. He was born June 28, 1946 in Lapeer, the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Scharf) Novak. He was united in marriage with the former Betty Powell on November 4, 1972 in Pontiac. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2012. He was employed in the Florida Everglades for Florida Flood Control operating heavy machinery. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, BBQ's and watching T.V. Michael is survived by two daughters, Danielle Novak of Great Falls, Montana and Angel Novak of Gladwin; two grandchildren, Tesa and Bret Bigelow of Gladwin; and his siblings, Dennis Novak and Kay Novak, both of Lake Orion. In keeping with Michael's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial gathering from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3672 Cat Lake Road, Mayville.
