Michael Robert Orjada

Michael R. Orjada, age 54, of Sand Point, died suddenly Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Mike was born in Detroit on September 9, 1957. He graduated from Caseville High School in 1976. He married Joan E. Forster on December 17, 1977 at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville.

Mike worked a couple of years for the Cooperative Elevator Company service station on Sand Point before becoming permanently disabled in 1980. He was a long-time election worker in Caseville and enjoyed helping friends and neighbors however he could. His greatest love was his family which have spread out across the US, and he would keep in touch and visit them as much as he could.

Beloved husband of 33 years to Joan; father of Sarah (Louis) Dachtyl of Tucson, Arizona; grandfather of Stella and Anthony; son of June (the late Leonard) Malpass of Florida; brother of Bruce (Sue) of Maryland, Ken (Shelli) of Texas, and Lynda (J.O.) McNeil of Arizona; son-in-law of Carol and the late Walter Forster of Elkton; brother-in-law of Gail (the late James) Brown of Elkton and Ann (Robin) Buschlen of Pigeon; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Monday, November 14th, at Caseville United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Fuller officiating.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 pm Sunday at the Caseville United Methodist Church.
