Michael S. Patterson

Michael S. Patterson of Caro, age 61, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his home under the care of his loving daughters. Mike was born March 27, 1958 in Caro, the son of the late Stew and Stub Patterson. He was a good man, and a loving father and grandfather, and would literally give the shirt off his back for anyone. He found great pleasure in helping others and as a result there were a great many people who call him dad. Mike loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He had a zest for life and always lived it to the fullest. Mike loved old cars, anything that went fast, and candy. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout in his younger years which probably helped him in being able to do or figure out almost anything. Mike's life was filled with trials and tribulations starting at an early age. Whatever came his way, he held his love for Jesus close to his heart. Mike is resting peacefully with Jesus now, with his family taking solace in the fact they will see him again. He will be missed tremendously and remembered by family, friends and loved ones forever. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his children and their spouses, Monica Popp, Sara & Bobby Neuville, Alicia & Jerry Reardon, Christopher & Natasha Patterson, Michael Patterson and Stewart Patterson; grandchildren, Kayanna, Allen, Haiden, Koleton, Ava, Jax, Devin, Julia, Jessica and Faith; and nieces, Krysta and Gena. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazen & Hazel Patterson, Allah & Alice Schrader; brothers, Sam and Jimmy Patterson; grandchildren, Kaylyn Louise and Caleb Pelton; grandma Schniers; and nephew, John Schniers. In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the New Hope Alive Church, 2200 South Reese Road, Reese, MI with Rev. Jon Terry officiating.
