Michael Stewart

Michael Stewart, age 55 years, of Fairgrove, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Bay Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 27, 1950 in Caro. He was an Akron-Fairgrove High School graduate. Mike married the former Betty Jo Janks on December 19, 1979. He was employed at Quality Auto Parts. He was a member of the Gilford Gun Club. Mike loved working on his yard and in his garden. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo; his children, Frank (Kelly) Bachmann of Maryland, Rodney Stewart of Flint; Trevor (Sandy) Stewart of Caro; three grandchildren; four sisters, Barb Shagena, Kathy Sandman, Karen (Ken) Spencer and Sherry Spencer; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his very special kitty, Meaner; and his dog, Buffy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Betty Stewart; his father-in-law, Fred Janks; and a brother-in-law, Jim Janks. Cremation has taken place. Mike requested no services; his wishes have been honored. Memorials may be made to the Stewart family discretionary fund, c/o Betty Stewart.
