Michelle “Moe” Ann Cherry of Orlando, formerly of Caro, age 55, passed away with her faithful companion, Jack, on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Michelle was born January 7, 1968, in Saginaw, the beloved daughter of Ann (Colpean) Cherry. Moe lived life on her terms, embracing each day with an infectious enthusiasm and a free spirit. Born to explore, she found her calling in the ocean and the tunes of live music. Moe freelanced in the audiovisual industry, working for conventions in the Orlando area and backstage at concerts doing lights and effects. Her dedication to bringing music to life was unwavering, and her creativity and technical prowess made her an indispensable part of every performance she touched. Beyond the stages and speakers, she found solace and freedom in the open waters. Sailing was not just a hobby for her; it was a sanctuary where she felt most alive. Moe loved to sail the Bahamas and when she would come up to Michigan, she always made sure to meet up with friends and go out on the Saginaw Bay. She enjoyed canning with her mom in the summers and helping with anything mechanical. Moe was a beacon of authenticity, encouraging those around her to embrace their true selves and live unapologetically. Her smile and positivity were contagious, her kindness boundless, and her zest for life was an inspiration to all who crossed her path.
Moe leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, uncles, cousins, and so many cherished friends who were like family.
In keeping with Moe’s wishes, cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw. A celebration of life is being planned for the coming summer and details will be posted to Facebook as they become available.
