Mildred P. Pechette, age 73, of Pinnebog, died Wednesday afternoon, June 21, at U of M Hospital, Ann Arbor.
She was born May 30, 1932 in Detroit to Veronica ((Goryl) Dolinski and the late Walter Dolinski.
After graduating from high school she went to work for Michigan Bell in billing department, for 15 years. On December 5, 1960, she was united in marriage to John C. Pechette at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Detroit. They moved to a farm near Pinnebog the following year. Mildred raised her family and help John on the farm. She was very active in her church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also the memorial donations coordinator for the American Cancer Society in the area for many years until operations were turn over to the Bay City Region.
She enjoyed dancing, singing and traveling around the states.
Surviving are her husband, John; four children, Susan (Mark) Cook of Holt, Thomas (Traci) Pechette of Kinde, Joyce Pechette of Cardiff, CA and Jon (Denise) Pechette of Grand Blanc; her mother, Veronica Dolinski of Bad Axe; eight grandchildren, Paul, Samantha, Jared, Alexander, Adam, Emilie, Nicole and Andrew; her sister, Gloria (Stanley) Filar of Washington and a brother, William (Ruth) Dolinski of Clinton Twp.
A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, June 24, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Pinnebog with burial in the church cemetery.
A parish scripture service will be conducted 7:00 PM Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton where friends may call from 2 to 9 PM Friday.
Memorials may be made to the church or the family.
