Mildred M Robarts age 90 of Vassar formerly of Filion, died Wednesday evening, April 15, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe.
She was born March 27, 1925 in Detroit to the late Earl and Esther (Maxwell) Coates and moved with her family to a farm in Huron County near Filion in her youth, graduating from Kinde High School.
Mildred married Myron Robarts and moved to the Vassar area in 1960. She had worked at several places throughout her life retiring from sales at Morley Furniture, Saginaw in 1980. She and her husband started wintering in Florida that same year. Myron preceded her in death December 25, 1986.
In her free time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing cards and board games.
Surviving are four children, Connie (Marty) Maurer of Caseville, Robert (Lou-Anne) Morley of Lake, Dennis Morley of Vassar and Terry (Lois) Morley of Vassar; Nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
Preceding her in death was her brother, Kenneth Coates.
A private memorial service will be conducted Saturday, April 25, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton.
Memorials may be given to hospice or donors choice.
