Mildred Roemer

Mildred Roemer, age 84, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Mildred was born June 12, 1932, in Bach, to the late Frank and Meta (Sontag) Ludwig. She married Edwin Roemer on November 10, 1951, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2000. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family. She was a longtime member at St. Johns Lutheran Church, participating in the Ladies Aid and helping with many church dinners.

Mildred is survived by her children: William (Connie) Roemer of Deford, John (Elizabeth) Roemer of Gagetown, Kenneth (LuAnn) Roemer of Sebewaing, and Patricia (Lee) Koehler of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Christina (Chris) Bedore, Matthew (Angie) Roemer, Susan (Eric) McCourt, Stephen (Melissa) Roemer, Amy (Ryan) Lowman, Kevin (Kristen) Roemer, Kayla Roemer, Ryan Koehler, David (Jyoti) Sutter, and Zachary Sutter; granddaughter-in-law, Tressa Roemer; and 14 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; sister, Dorothy Nast; brother, Ralph Ludwig; grandson, Billy Roemer, Jr.; and great grandson, Hogan Roemer.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Thursday, July 14, 2016, at St. Johns Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will take place at the church cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Johns Lutheran Church.
