Milton Paul Young

Milton P. Young, 85, of Elkton, died Monday, April 23, 2018.

Milton was born July 27, 1932 at home in Oliver Twp to the late Edward and Nora (Lomp) Young.  He graduated from Elkton High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany.  He married Marjorie Peavey Gottschalk on March 11, 1974 in Bad Axe; she preceded him in death April 16, 2005.

Milton was a retired farmer who enjoyed growing and selling pumpkins and fishing.  He was a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church, Elkton VFW and Elkton Historical Society.

He is survived by his step son Sam (Sue) Gottschalk of Elkton and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his siblings Harold, Charles, Ruth Morgan and Don.

Funeral services will be 6:00pm Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton with Rev. Won D. Kim officiating, followed by military honors.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1-6 Friday.
