Mitchell A. Dorsch age 61, of Pigeon passed away Friday afternoon, June 10, at Scheurer Hospital following an acute heart-lung issue.
He was born July 30, 1954 in Pigeon to the late Adolph and Florence (Bieri) Dorsch.
After high school, Mitch worked several jobs until suffering a heart attack in his late thirties, retiring in 1993 for health reasons.
Mitch was an avid deer hunter, with many trophies to his credit. Along with hunting, he enjoyed fishing, camping, playing volley ball, and being with his family.
Surviving are siblings, Jean (Otis) Skinner, Brenda (David) Apley, Richard (Virginia) Dorsch, Pam Camacho, Betty (Steven) Jurgess and Bradley (Darlene) Dorsch, Larry (Lisa) Dorsch all of Bad Axe and Timothy Dorsch of Unionville; his former wife, Carolyn; step daughters, Lucretia (Dale) Hebert of Kinde, Shanda Brown of Oak Beach and Betty Brown of Sanford and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Audrie and her unborn child, Willow, who were tragically taken in an auto accident one week earlier; two sisters, Sally Jo Dorsch and Caroline and her husband, Michael Yaroch.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June15, at the Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton. Rev. Ean Green, pastor will officiate with burial by his parents in Caseville Twp. Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton for 2 to8 PM Tuesday and at the church after 10:00 AM Wednesday.
