Mitchell W. Lojek

Mitchell W. Lojek age 72, of Lake Twp. passed away peacefully Monday morning, March 12, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Saginaw.

He was born February 6, 1940, to the late Jacob and Anna (Kukula) Lojek in Hamtramck.
Mitchell lived in the Detroit area most of his life. Following high school, he attended college for two years. He then took a position with Prompt Pattern, Detroit. He remained with them for 14 years before starting his own business in 1971, Tri-County Pattern, retiring in 2010.

He purchased a lot in Lake Twp. in 1970 and started building his dream cottage with his wife, Toni and in 2001 they moved there permanently.
Mitchell was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church and still enjoyed crafting things from wood.

Surviving are his wife, Toni; two brothers, Leon Lojek of Warren and Ted (Connie) Lojek of West Bloomfield; two sisters, Sophie Jaubowski of Hamtramck and Lorraine (Ed) Rojek of Lexington; two sister-in-laws, Patty Runski of Lambertville and Dorothy Crown of Clinton Twp. and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his two brothers, Stanley Lojek and Phil Lojek; two sisters Irene Lojek and Virginia Winarski.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 15 at St Roch Catholic Church, Caseville. Fr. Robert Pare’ will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville from 3 to 8 PM Wednesday and at the church after 10 AM Thursday.
Memorials may be given to St. Roch Altar Society.
