Mitchell Edward Seidler, age 81, of Kingston passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 8, 1929 in Poland to the late Frank and Josephine (Bies) Seidler. He and his mother came to the United States to join his father who had already come here to work. After coming to Detroit, he then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon returning from the war, he worked at Federal Screw. On June 2, 1956 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Ciure in Detroit. Mitch and his new bride moved to their current farm in Dayton Township. He worked at Gurdens Trailer Factory in Marlette and then at GM Metal Fab in Flint until his retirement. While living in Tuscola County, he had also been a part-time farmer. Mitch was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot. He loved hunting and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Rick Seidler of Kingston, Karen (Thomas) Campbell of Caro, and Gary Seidler of Kingston; two grandsons, Michael and Adam Campbell of Caro. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a Funeral Liturgy at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Andrzej Boroch and Sr. Riccardina Silvestri MC officiating. Military honors will be afforded by the Mayville V.F.W Post. Cremation will follow the Liturgy. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette.
